Lutheran Youth Fellowship was established on January 14, 1957 to look after the wefare of the youths in the church. Initially it was named as Manipur Young Christian Association. It was renamed as Zomi Young Christian Association in 1979. Later on rechristened as Zomi Khristian Khanglai Pawl in 1990 and it become Lutheran Youth Fellowship in 2002.

Few of the activities of the youth towards mission may be laid down as under

1) It (LYF) has its own youth promoter from 1995, to provide help, guidance, encourage and challenge the youth to work for God’s mission.
2) Since 1995 it started a monthly news bulleting called ‘Khanglai Bulletin’ – Khanglai – (youth) to reflect upon the life and activities of the church especially the youth, the challenges facing the society and the youth.


The LYF constantly supplies the church with the much need men’s power in the form of quite a number of trained theological students who are at the back and call of the church for woulcing in God’s mission whenever invited.
